Hi Tech and Rajasthan !!

Recently read an article about the growth of broadband in Rajasthan !! I have read about head-bands and Rajasthan but never brodaband & Rajasthan in the same sentence :) [That was an attempt at humour].

The article mentioned that Rajasthan is getting MOTOwi4(TM) Canopy(TM) wireless broadband equipment for construction of a statewide wireless network. The goal is to set up a statewide wireless broadband to connect the panchayats and the local junta. The wireless grid helps to connect remote villages to the world with an high speed connection !This is said to be the first of its kind in the entire country !!

I can only imagine the amount of joy it will bring to all the villagers when they get on-line for the first time. With time they will get used to it but the whole internet experience seemed like a miracle to me the first time I got online.

Most of the articles that talk about hi-tech growth in B'lore, Chennai or Hyd. Once the infrastructure is laid out we can expect Rajasthan to be in the news more often than before.
This is all happening under the leadeship of Vasundara Raje Scindia - the current Chief minister of Rajasthan and also the IT minister of the state.
