More in Bay area real estate downturn
This is continuing. Houses are staying longer in the market, lot of them drop their prices and get sold for even lower prices. Here is the latest update:
1. 1013 Payette ave Sunnyvale, dropped listing price by 580K ! (MAX so far) 12/12/2018
2. 730 Nutmeg ave Sunnyvale, sold for $180k less than asking at $1.9mill. 12/12/2018
3. 923 S Tantau ave Cupertino, dropped listing price by ~50K to $1.8mill. 12/11/2018
4. 1501 Kingsgate dr Sunnuvale, sold for ~100k less than asking for $2.1mill 12/10/18
5. 850 Humewick way Sunnyvale sold for $120k less than asking at $1.85mill 12/111/18
More to the list:
6. 916 Troy ct Sunnyvale sold for $100k less than asking at $2.15mill 12/12/18
7. 1141 Kentwood ave Cupertino dropped listing price by $170k to $1.62mill 12/17/18
(Price was earlier dropped by $150k)
8. 10388 Menhar lane Cupertino sold for $220k less than asking at $1.33mill on 12/19/18
9. 7090 Golden gate dr San Jose, sold for ~$50k less than asking at $1.63mill on 12/24/18
Prices are at the level they were 2.5 years back, around summer of 2016. Price gains in the last 2.5 years has been erased. Thats it 2018 update, time to see what happens in 2019, esp when folks start moving before the start of next school year.
